NYC 1/2 on Sunday. High for the day will be about 40. I start around 8am. Pretty sure temps will be around freezing (maybe even a degree or two below) at that time.
I was thinking: Athleta running capris (they have a skirt attached - I like them bc they keep my thighs warm), cold gear long sleeve shirt, and either a vest or a cold gear jacket thing.
Will definitely wear a headband/ear protection and gloves; will pack a neck/face warmer in my spibelt.
I have Under Armour cold weather gear but it gets REALLY warm - not sure I'd want it for 13 miles.
Would you do the vest or the jacket? Anything you'd add? A shirt under the long sleeve shirt?

I would wear something over the long sleeve shirt I could throw away at the start. That's what I did last year when temps were about the same. I actually wore capris and short sleeves. No gloves or anything. I was a little cold, but I would rather be a little cold than too hot. Good luck!
