F: 12 miles S: 5 treadmill miles in the hotel gym. The gym looked out into the pool area where the rest of my family was hanging out and drinking beer. Haha, talk about motivation to finish quickly. S: rest M: snow dayyyyyyy, so it's still my weekend. Just finished 3 treadmill miles.
Fri: rest Sat: 4 mi race Sun: 3 mi before I quit - hamstring really started to hurt around mile 2. Glad I was on the treadmill.
Now I think I am screwed.
Can you try pool running? My running buddy is injured and we have done all our long runs in the pool. I ran a 10k yesterday very successfully.
I've never done if before, so I have no clue if it would work. Is there a link on how to do it? I was going to rest the next couple days, then try to bike a bit Wednesday or Thursday. It feels better today, but still a bit twingey. I wrapped it in an ace bandage last night, which helped, and will probably re-wrap it when I get home. Thanks for your suggestions!

Friday: 4 miles on a gym bike followed by kickboxing
Sat: 50 miles on a damn gym bike (we're in the midst of a team gym challenge at work. Each team is limited to 100 outside miles per week, everything else has to be done in the gym. Classes are 5 miles, bike & treadmill count as-is. First team to 3000 miles wins [LA to DC-challenge is called Coast 2 Coast]. We are at roughly 2700, in first place, and hope to finish this week. I plan to take pics of a gym recumbent bike, blow it up to poster-size, and burn it in a bonfire after this challenge is over. I'd burn an actual gym bike if I could LOL. I can't ride my real bike because we always go over our 100 outside miles, so anything that I do on my real bike essentially won't count, and I don't have time for that).
