Had a pretty good weekend. Great consignment sale shopping success, went for a long walk in the rain at point defiance and baked/cooked a bunch of yummy things for dinner tonight and meals later in the week. Irish soda bread, vegan Irish soda bread and colcannon and spaghetti sauce, all from scratch. I normally celebrate by wearing a green accessory. This year we are having dinner with our Irish friends so i'm wearing green, dressed j in green (diapers, even!) and made Irish foods. Plus guinness, of course.

Happy St. Patty's Day! Today is actually my husband's birthday, but he's on call, so I don't know if we'll be able to go out for dinner tonight. I gave him his present this morning just in case. He was so surprised! It was adorable
If he's working tonight, I'm going to make freezer burritos and watch last night's Walking Dead. If he's home, maybe Mexican food? Green sauce counts for St. Patty's Day, right?
I'm wearing green khakis and a green sweater, and G is dressed all in green today too. I love holidays . We're not eating anything special, though I did get a little bit of cabbage from the grocery store. But we're having it in pancit (Filipino) noodles and fish tacos, not anything remotely Irish.
toratoratori you need to watch the Walking Dead stat! Omg such an episode!
Super late check in but today the baby kicked hard enough to make my badge move and my students about had heart attacks. Getting them calmed down enough to continue reading was fun. They stared at my gut the rest of the day. One even said "I love your belly mrslefty!" Kids are so funny. Strange but funny. We had our corned beef this weekend, my first time! So tonight we are doing pesto chicken shells and calling it a day.
