I've never heard of it. I had to look it up. I worry a bit about south FL in the beginning of December.
Do Savannah. They've had pretty consistently decent weather the last three years. Plus, I'm considering Savannah! I wasn't planning on another marathon until Boston, but now I kind of want to do a fall full. It has to be close by though; I'm burning all of my vacation days for Italy. Makes Savannah a good fit.
Yeah, heat & humidity. It's still really unpredictable that time of year. Our winter doesn't really get going until January. You saw the crap VTcupcake had to deal with, and that was only one or two weekends prior to the date you're looking at. You won't see brutal temps (like 90s), but a high in the low 80s and humid wouldn't surprise anyone. Of course, a cold front could push through & it could be a perfect 70* day, but that wouldn't be the norm. I have only ever considered a FL marathon during January & February.
ETA: It could be an awesome race, I just always feel an obligation to warn people about our weather. lol

I think you'll enjoy it. I ran the half last year, and we all had a lot of fun. Plus, I love Savannah.

I'd be worried about the heat too. If you're looking to make a vacation out of it, I think it would be a fun choice. If performance is your goal, ideally you should pick a marathon where it's likely to be dry with temps in the low 50's during the race.
