1. A SPF lotion for my face that won't make my skin oily
2. A method of removing scratches from a stainless steel microwave because someone who shall remain nameless thought stainless meant scratchless and cleaned the microwave with a sponge
I use Bare Minerals foundation powder with an SPF because my face doesn't like liquid SPF.
What's the coverage like? Sadly, I am at that age where foundation isn't really optional. I've also heard Bare Minerals can break out your skin (maybe the bismuth)?
2: A pillow to smother he who shall not be named, because I don't know if there's a way to remove scratches from SS.
Unfortunately the pillow needs to be applied to me, as I am the stainless steel...stupid person. Thank god I just did it to the microwave, not the fridge.

I apologize to your husband. Duh Pants!
Oh, btw, don't ask my mom for help with measuring fabric for curtains. Ours are 5 inches short. LOL We're going to do what was suggested in your thread about the too short curtains.
I mean seriously...what the fuck is up with stainless steel? I wish I had known how much I would hate it before we bought all our appliances.
I just reordered the curtains. Fortunately the people I ordered them from gave me a discount. They actually offered to let them out, but once I sent them a picture they were all, "LOL, no." FML.

My mom bought stainless steel that doesn't show fingerprints and it cleans up really well. The shit that the builder gave us is awful. I cannot get rid of the marks no matter what I do. It's driving me crazy.
I don't use an SPF lotion; I either use Neutrogena clear face sunscreen, Boscia BB cream with SPF 27, or Bobbi Brown skin foundation with SPF 15, none of which make my skin oily.
Let me know if you find something that works for the stainless because our fridge somehow got scratched, most likely by one of the kids. It bums me out.
1. Eucerin something or other with SPF 30ish? It has iron oxide in it, so physical sunblock as opposed to just chemical. Pump bottle with white & yellow label.
2. Dunno. My cleaning lady took a scotch brite pad to our stainless steel backsplash, and we never got it back. The only way I know how to fix it involves power tools & possibly a shop, neither of which I have access to any more.
I also have oily skin, and while I love Bare Minerals, it doesn't last longer than half the day before I oil right through it. Even with primer. For my every day use, I use either this Murad one or this Murad mattifying one. For long days in the sun, such as at Disney, or the beach, I like a Peter Thomas Roth SPF 50 one that may not be available any more, but is similar to this one. Just keep in mind that if you use the PTR one, it will make you shiny in pictures.
For the scratches in the microwave, have you tried rubbing compound, like this? It's similar to what is used to remove minor scratches from car finishes.
