I think they look fine, like a nice casual weekend fit. I agree that they are "straight" and not "skinny", but they look okay. Did you pay a lot of money for them? How do you feel in them?
I kind of feel like jeans should make you feel amazing. If you don't feel amazing in them, then you should return them.
I don't hate them but I think they might be a touch too long which is causing the weird knee bunching. I am kind of obsessed with ON rock star jeans, they are cheap, fit me well, and I can get petite length online.
So, if you do decide to try the AE jeggings, order online. As a fellow size 14-er, I'll save you the embarrassment I felt going into the store and seeing nothing in my size.
Although, are you really a size 14? Because you look a hell of a lot smaller than me.
Im so bad at this. Im all THEYRE TOO TIGHT!!! OH GOD THEYRE SO TIGHT!!! and it turns out the problem is too baggy. I might try them cuffed. My butt to calf ratio is not meant for anything tighter. Thanks, yall.

Yes, try cuffing! I bet that will make a difference.
I do the same thing. J is dying for me to get a pair of tight jeans, but I'm like, noooooo, you can see my second butt in those! I'm not the only one with a second butt, right?

They're okay. Not the best, but not bad either.
I agree they would be more flattering if they were more fitted to you. But if you don't want that, I think you can still pull them off the way they are.
Frkls the issue here is that your hip to ankle ratio is bigger than average. This may be a pair of skinny jeans for someone with a smaller hip. So you feel they are super tight and the ankles are baggy. I have to use stretchy material for this reason if I want the skinny look (which doesn't always agree with me). So I agree with looking for jeggings.
