(and were successful) tell me about your schedule, please? How often did you go?
Did you get acupuncture during/immediately before/immediately following transfer? The practitioner I'm going to try will actually come to my transfer (for a price, of course!), and I'm wondering if that's a common part of treatment.
Trying for #3; FET 8/18 -- BFN. Leaving things up to chance for now... After three years, three IVFs, and two FETs, we finally have our miracle babIES!
I was going once a week throughout the process. He didn't say anything about coming in right before or after transfer. I went two days before retrieval and then 3 days after transfer, and kept to the weekly schedule throughout the first tri.
I went weekly for several months before IVF. I did 2 sessions on the day of the transfer - one right before and one right after. She didn't want to see me again until after my beta. I never went back after that though, because I wasn't a big fan of acu in general. I'm sure I'll do it again for an FET some day.

Thank you both. I wasn't sure if before/after was a normal "of course I did it then!" kind of thing, like if you're doing IVF acu, that's part of the deal.

I'm too lazy to search for the proof, but there have been a number studies on the use of acu during IVF, and several of them have done ONLY treatment on the day of the transfer (before and after). The success rates seem to be about the same as the groups that did IVF for the entire treatment cycle. If you're going to do acu at all though, I would probably go with the transfer day. If you get that far, why risk possibly regretting not doing that final piece?
I did very little research on acu. It was one of those things that is fairly widely used, and I felt like if I was going to pay $15k for IVF, I might as well go all out. I thought I would regret not trying everything. I know I'm in the minority around here, but I didn't enjoy acupuncture. It was painful, and not relaxing at all. Maybe it helped with egg quality, or a friendly uterine environment, or implantation? I have no idea. I don't regret doing it, but who knows if it made any difference for me.

I went twice a week for 8 months prior to my bfp. The only difference that month is that I had a group on for another acu so in addition to my regular guy @ twice a week, I did 3 sessions with a woman who did things completely differently (placement of needles etc.)
I was able to deduct my acu costs on my taxes this year.
Just saw this post since it got bumped up - not sure if you're still interested in the answer, but I did it weekly for a few months prior to IVF. I also had a session the evening before my transfer (transfer was early in the morning) and then in the afternoon after transfer. Then I continued once a week for a few weeks after transfer - I think through seeing the heartbeats.
