Ok new restaurant poll. Favorite N. End?

We haven't eaten in the North End in forever. What are you favorite restaurants there?

I haven't been to too many, but we did really like Al Dente. I wasn't thrilled with Lucia's.

And I really like the cupcakes at Lulu's bakery

Everyone I know says Giacomo's, hands-down, but I've never been able to get in there. We usually end up just wandering around until we stumble across something not on Hanover that looks good. We did have a really amazing dinner at Mamma Maria once, thanks to a super generous gift card I got from my participants one year. So if you're looking to splurge, check them out.

Giacomo's, but not in the North End... I go to the one in the South End because you can often get a table! : )
My favorite place to eat that is in the North End is Maria's Pastry. OMG... Mike's who??? If you like cannoli, you have to try Maria's. Filled to order, Amazing!

I like the Florentine Grill on Hanover St and Baci (sp) Baci is Italian for the kiss. It was very romantic for our anniversary last year.

Giacomo's. If you go early, the wait isn't too bad. We just wait, it is worth it. The South End location is nice too, same menu!

I was going to say Florentine as well. Or strega, but they always have the Godfather playing, and it's not something I like to watch while I eat... or every to be honest.

Did not care for Lucia's myself. Very overpriced, loud, and the food wasn't all that italian-y, IMO.

And we still haven't gone there yet. He just started a new job on Monday yet he's already in the oncall rotation starting this weekend.
