Last night was tough. She's been nursing a lot the last few days and a little clammy so I thought she had picked up a slight virus from crawling around on floors. I'll try to nurse through everything. But her teeth are coming in on top and really bothering her much more than her bottom did, and last night around 10-11 she started biting, hard. She wasn't hungry anymore but couldn't sleep. Finally around midnight she was completely miserable. The look on her little face was sooooo sad to see. I couldn't stand it any more and opened her in case of emergency Tylenol. I gave it to her and hugged her and calmed her down and she was passed out cold in 15 minutes. Then naturally I was afraid I have her too much and she was in a coma and I barely slept because I kept getting up to check her breathing. But she's still alive and quite happy and Tylenol is officially a wonder drug.
As natural as I try to be, sometimes Baby Ib is the only thing that helps us get through colds. I loved tylenol until the girls (because they were preemies) became pre-asthmatic and I read an article about avoiding it; their pedi confirmed as was elated to see that I made the change after doing my own research (do people NOT do this?)
Baby ib, is that baby ibuprofen? Her Dr said she can have that now that she's 6 months but I was so cocky and all "we haven't given her anything yet" and he was so all "awesome!" that I thought we could get through anything. But last night I thought not giving her something if I could was mean. It certainly worked so for this round I'll stick to it, I only gave her 1.5 ml of the new concentration and she slept great so it must have been enough. But I will look into the ibuprofen next because it's always been my first choice.

Hope she feels better! Don't worry about using Tylenol or Ibuprofen if you have to. I hated doing it at first, but it's much better than them being miserable.

Yes, it is. I can't spell that word, so I don't even try.

Totally agree with this. If they are suffering, I'd much rather give them a little medicine. Luckily, I rarely to have to, but I don't hesitate when I can see they are miserable.
