One of my friends is in. I haven't done it. The idea of a 15k in July is hard for me to wrap my head around. I'll stick to the Stockade-athon in November!

It sold out in 2.5 hours. Everyone wants to run around Utica in July, obviously! For me, it's an excuse to get away from my ILs for a few hours, haha!

My friend kept sending me texts all morning, trying to get me to enter by telling me how quickly it was filling up. I'm passing on it this year, but will probably have to on it first thing if I try for next year.

It is a really fun race. The crowd support is unbelievable.

Yeah, I will probably do it next year for the experience. The race tends to happen on the hottest, most humid day of the summer, so I haven't been so inclined to do 9 miles.

Yeah, it was pretty hot and gross last year. I don't typically care much about time during races (just finishing), so I stopped for every water station. People were even coming out of their houses and were letting runners spray themselves.

I do not handle running in heat well, so I'd be running to finish. I've heard really great things about the crowds. I just have to figure out the logistics. It's too far to travel straight from home, so I may have to go to Syracuse and stay with my MIL, then drive back towards Utica.

Yeah, we live in Westchester, so we drive up and stay with the ILs for the weekend (they live in Syracuse and have a house up on a lake up past Utica.)
