In big clumps, every day, when I wash it, brush it, run my fingers through it. I have it colored (not bleached) professionally but that hasn't caused any problems since I started doing it about 2 years ago. Nothing else has changed in my life. No new medicines, etc.
This happened after DD was born, but then it stopped, and she's 2.5 now.
I'm not particularly stressed. I recently lost about 25 lbs, but I've done it healthfully, not through crash dieting or anything. More protein has kind of been the key to me losing weight, actually.
Maybe it is summer "shedding." My God, my dogs should be bald for all the hair they're leaving around our house right now. Maybe I'm just blowing out my winter coat right along with them!
It might have to do with your weight loss. Your body just may be adjusting to the healthy changes you made. It should stabilize. If it doesn't, make an appointment to see your doc.

I am actually dealing with the exact same thing right now. I went to the doctor last week and the first thing she suspected was a thyroid issue. I am waiting on my blood work to come back with the results.
How quickly did you lose the 25lbs? Are you taking a multi vitamin?
Since the end of February. I've been taking a prenatal since before I got pregnant. I just kept taking them even after DD was born because I liked what it did for my hair and nails. Harumph!
Thanks for the suggestions to get my thyroid checked. I had it done a while back, but it's probably been 6 or 7 years. Can't hurt to check and just make sure that everything is on the up and up. I don't have enough hair to be scraping it out of the drain every day. I'm going to be bald by the end of the month!

I feel your pain, this is what I have been pulling out of the drain every tine I wash my hair and it makes me want to cry. I already have really thin/fine hair to begin with.
