I have been completely slacking on my half training. I am in my final month of grad school and I am just so busy. Training gets pushed to the side. I had hoped to be trained to do my 10k yesterday, but wasn't. I suffered through it, although I did beat my goal of 1:20. I came in a 1:15:45. I walked a ton and at one point I whipped out my phone and texted my friend saying I didn't want to do the race anymore.
Please tell me it will get better! I really want to do this half and am super excited about it. I just don't have the motivation to run and train. Any motivation tips? I find I get bored running alone, but the excitement of races really motivates me. I just don't have the money to sign up for a million races to keep my motivation going.
