I've tried gobs of headbands and have the same problem with them slipping that you do. The only ones I've found that work are headbands from an Etsy shop called KatieDid Productions. The headbands have velvet on the back so they don't slip. I just did an 11mile run with it and didn't fuss with it at all.
It seems to me that at one time pixy0stix was making similar headbands for a fundraiser.
Another vote for sweaty bands! I tried bondibands as well, which I like almost as much- the added bonus for them is that in windy weather they can also be pulled over my ears- a nice in-between when it's too warm for a full-on fleece headband.

I've never tried anything else but Bondibands, actually. I love them though! They don't slip, it definitely keeps the sweat out of my eyes, and as mentioned, I like that I can also use it to cover my ears.
My sister in law owns a headband co - they are my absolute favorite. Does it violate TOS if I post it? Just pm me if you want to know.
Anyhow, I find that the key to headbands staying put (I've worn them for many 3+ hr runs and both marathons with zero slippage), is that you place them close enough to your hairline. They should be right in the front, not an inch+ back.

Ditto the rec for velvet-backed headbands. I have three from Sparkly Soul that I love, and just got another similar one by Marika. Velvet-backed is key.
I just started making the velvet back headbands for my friends. Message me your address and I will send you one. I'm still trying to get the sizing perfect!
I got the sweaty band, I didn't even make it to a workout with it because it kept falling off my head!
I just ordered a bondiband.
That sucks! They don't budge on my head. Did you try different positions? In my experience, the thinner headbands slip less.
If bondibands don't work, try galmbands, but pay $3 extra for the grip clips. They look similar to sweatybands, but they have actual hair combs under the band. Basically, these small clips sit under the band.

I'm on a mission I'll add them to my list! It's funny cause my head isn't small but the sweaty bands were just too big!

Oh, then definitely try the glambands. They (well...at least the one I own), has an adjustable strap. I don't have the hair comb version (saw them at the same expo I purchased my band at), but it seems like it might be a good solution.
