We leave on a 4 day cruise tomorrow. I know that there are several people on here that have mentioned that they have recently been on one. Did you partake in any of the fitness classes? Use the gym/track? Likes or dislikes?
I have worked out on numerous cruises. I usually just do my own thing in the gym. Occasionally i will take a free Abs class. They have a pretty good gym usually. Track sucks bc its so short (usually 7 or more laps to a mile)

This is what I was wondering. I was hoping to get at least a run or two on the track, but I HATE short tracks!!!!
Good thing there will be alcohol to take my mind off of it
I've done a yoga class on a cruise ship. The sea was a bit rocky, so it was a nice challenge on balance/humor. I've also used the treadmills. RC has them at one end of the ship with huge windows so you're staring out at the ocean as you go, very nice.
I do a combination of running on the track/treadmill. I try and get up early on the sea days and get a few miles on the track before it gets too crowded and then finish up on the treadmill.
DO NOT TAKE ANY CYCLING CLASSES! We tried one years ago and actually had to leave because it was so unsafe/horrible. I have a hard time doing any kind of cardio machine on a cruise due to the motion. But, I can easily lift weights and do things with both feet standing still.
we use a combo of the treadmill and track; the key is to get out early (we like going out at sunrise) so the deck is dry from overnight cleaning but not busy with people already claiming chairs. DH typically runs a few laps with me, gets tired of it, and goes to lift/use the TM.
i wear my garmin just for giggles to see the map when i get home
I like to use the track. I try to get to use the track either early in the morning or late at night otherwise the people just walking around get in the way.

lol!
I brought my Garmin last time I went to Ireland just so I could see the maps of where I'd run when I got home (#runningnerd) but out over water is even a step beyond that
