1. Patriot Half (IM), 6/14/14. I'll be hump-day-half-ing this race for a while.
2. Night before: MM would totally shun me for this, but I like to eat at Olive Garden the night before a big race. It's predictable, it's easy to find, and I know what to order (capellini pomodoro with grilled chicken) that will sit well in my stomach. No surprises. Morning of depends on what distance; before a HIM I like honey, greek yogurt, and a bagel.

2. Let's talk about food: what's your favorite meal... a) the night before your race or long-run I don't have anything in particular. I just avoid anything heavy or greasy. And I drink lots of water. b) morning of, Wheat bagel thin with peanut butter and honey. And a few Oreos. and c) after? a glass of water with Nuun, followed by a chocolate milk. And for some weird reason, I am ALWAYS craving bacon after a long run. This Sunday, I will also eat lots of cupcakes.
3. What's on your playlist this week? Britney "Work, Bitch" is sorta my theme song for the week.

1. The deets: race name and date Run the Bluegrass - this Saturday!

Let's talk about food: what's your favorite meal...a) the night before your race or long-run - Usually pizza b) morning of - English muffin with peanut butter, and a cup of coffee and some water (sometimes 2 EM's, depending on how long before the race I eat) c) after? - I love chocolate milk and a banana immediately after (or at least once my breathing has come back to normal). As far as the rest of the day - whatever sounds good to me.
3. What's on your playlist this week? My usual running playlist that I keep on shuffle on my iPod. My list is all over the place - mostly songs that I love to hear over and over, but would probably be weird or geeky to others.

I don't really eat differently the night before, and I usually have a PB and honey sandwich before a long run. After a long run I typically grab pancakes with my running buddies, but if I'm at a race I eat whatever is available.

1. Pittsburgh half marathon, 5/4 2. Cheeseburger, very crispy french fries - I'm easy to please 3. Day before is all about carbs, dinner is usually early and includes pasta. I eat an english muffin + PB and a banana pre-race. After the race, all bets are off but usually burger and fries and a milkshake. Then a nap. 4. Phantogram (Fall In Love), Airborne Toxic Event (Hell and Back), and Wild Club (Thunder Clatter)

1. The deets: race name and date Christie Clinic U of I HM - Saturday April 26 (and a 5k the night before).
2. Let's talk about food: what's your favorite meal... a) the night before your race or long-run before a HM, Olive Garden - Capreses Pomodora (add grilled chicken). Don't hate. It's light, I know exactly how it's made, and we can find it before any race and any location. b) morning of, and- Peanut Butter on Toast and 2 cups of coffee. c) after? BEER
3. What's on your playlist this week? Dark Horse - Katy Perry and Happy - Pharrell are two new ones I added a couple weeks ago. But mostly, I listen to podcasts.

Once you figure out what you are wearing, let me know and we can try and find each other. I haven't even looked to see what the weather is going to be like
B&A half Me food wise? Night before: nothing special. Morning of: muffin and peanut butter. Coffee After: for some reason I crave coke after hard workouts/races. The awesome bagel place by me has started serving gluten free bagels so a trip there may be in order!
And I haven't been doing any exericise yet this week. I've been consumed by a sick baby. We've been listening to the Disney station on pandora so I'm sure I'll have the little mermaid floating around in my head come race day

3. What's on your playlist this week? This past long run, random kids songs kept me going like "Hot Lava" from Jake and the Neverland Pirates and "In Summer" from Frozen.

2. Let's talk about food: what's your favorite meal...a) the night before your race or long-run --I'm pretty careful because of a sensitive stomach...so probably protein and maybe a carb...avoid veggies b) morning of---my usual greek yogurt, 1/2 banana, protein powder--kind of like a smoothie c) after---whatever the heck I want :-) Probably will involve ice cream
3. What's on your playlist this week? I've been asking friends for random suggestions so I have groups that are new to me like Flogging Molly. I also just got the latest Miranda Lambert "Automatic"
