I'm new to this moderating thing, and only removed to her link, which I suspect is somehow a direct link to give her some kind of credits or something for products ordered.
To OP, Amway is a laughable scam. I had an aunt and uncle who I swear had been brainwashed by Amway, and were convinced they were going to get rich. They went to conventions and even had motivational CD's they tried to get us to listen to. Not surprisingly, several years later, they are still living in their dump of a home and slaving away at their 9-5 jobs.

Whoooaaa, my husband works for them--in their IT department, developing software mind you-- and I just have access to the store, which I went to for the first time today! I didn't even know they were considered a pyramid scheme! They have been awesome to work for, like the Google of West MI. You can look at my posts on TN (same screen name) if you think I'm a crazy scammer. And by the way, I didn't ask you to buy anything!
I guess that does sound like an ad, but I swear it's not. Like I said, if you were from West MI it'd make a lot more sense. So here's this instead: They had some alpha-hydroxy stuff for cheap, what does that do? And they had some peel thing? I'd post the link but I guess it'd be considered me selling it. What should be in a serum or night cream to prevent wrinkles and such?
Narock, thanks for coming back and clarifying. If you google Amway, you'll be able to see the accusations of it being a pyramid scheme under the guise of a "multi-level marketing" program/company, which is why we all had such a strong reaction to your post.

Again, sorry that sounded like an ad. It's not.
I wasn't sure, which is why I didn't delete it. I do think I "warned" you somehow through one of the moderator functions, lol
If you get a legit discount on their stuff since your husband is an employee, hell, yeah I'd be taking advantage of it! There isn't anything wrong with their products, but it really is a pyramid scheme.
Are there reviews of any of the products on makeupalley.com? I'm really not sure about alpha-hydroxy, other than that it's supposed to be good for the skin (vague, I know).

Ha yeah, I just asked him about that and he said that yeah, people do have that perception of Amway (pyramid scheme). But that's for the sales side, he has nothing to do with that. They are like one of the biggest employers in this area though, so at least the headquarters are legit. I just care about my discount
I just made another post. Goes to show how much I know. Thanks at least for responding back lol.

Maybe your H should apply to work in TNs IT dept. I hear it is awful. Having lived in Michigan my whole life I hear terrible things about Amway and their pyramid scheme all the time. It really surprised me the first time I saw a tv commercial for them.

GoDawgs: are we long-lost cousins?? I could have written this word-for-word, exact same situation. It's sad really that someone can be sucked and brainwashed so easily by something like that.
I have a friend who is do desperate for work that she lets herself get sucked in to these types of marketing schemes. These companies pay TOP dollar for people who are persuasive and motivating, and unfortunately it seems to work on those who are down-in-the-dumps and seeking work. I tried telling her that it's not normal to have all of these "start up" fees and conventions to go to (where they make you feel like part of the team, etc. etc.), but she insists she'll "make it back threefold" once she gets rolling. ::Sigh:: I'd think after two different companies that have put her in the hole from their start-up fees and kits that she'd learn! It should be illegal to prey on innocent people like that, even if they are hard-up for a job.
