1 Night in Rome -- need hotel reccomendation

I have to travel to India for work. Because the flight is so long I get a "rest day." Based on different flight schedules, the city that I can spend the most amount of time in is Rome.



So, on my way to India I will be "resting" in Rome from 9:30a (on a Thursday) - 10:00pm (Friday).



I need a hotel suggestion -- somewhere that will put me within walking distance to a lot of sights.
I was thinking of the Trevi district, but I've never been to Rome so I'm open to whatever!


I can spend up to $445 (inc hotel tax).
