I'm heading to Chicago in September and want to try to avoid driving my car downtown if I can. I'm coming from Iowa so I thought it would work well to drive to the western suburbs and take the train in from there. Is is possible to get overnight parking at any of the stations? I've been searching the Metra website and having had any luck.

Thanks. I've found a few Park and Ride lots around Naperville. I just can't tell if they're day use only or I could leave my car their the whole weekend.
Is there parking at Metra stations? Monthly permit and/or daily fee parking is available at most stations. However, Metra does not administer permit parking at the stations. Each township, municipality or city in which the station is located has different parking rules and regulations. There is a link to each municipality on appropriate station page.
Then I found this: Address & Phone Number 105 E. 4th Ave. Naperville, IL 630-355-4409
Maybe just call the station and ask. Without reading much, I think parking is by permit during the day 6am-6pm, and no permit needed 6pm-6am. But if you are leaving your car there for multiple days, not sure how that'd work.
