I will give the short version. Rain, large puddles, wind. Other than that, the race went well. My garmin was being funky at the start so I didn't get it going until mile 1, but my clock time was 1:37:40. Not a PR but I'm completely happy with it since my training runs have been less than stellar and my confidence was totally lacking. This was a boost I so needed! I will say, I might not have done this without this board. When I woke up and saw the weather this morning I wanted to crawl back into bed but then thought "nope, have to report back to H&F". So thanks! Also huge shout out to shellfish26 who ran her first half and her first run in the rain in under her goal time!! It was nice meeting you!
Yay!!! I knew you'd have a great report. Sounds like you are on your way to a great comeback!! That's an awesome time all on it's own, but from a post-baby comeback? Pretty damn awesome, badass! Congrats.

You seriously rock! Congrats on the great time!
You guys, I passed her at about mile 7 and she looked so strong.
ETA: lol, I just realized how that sounded. No way did I actually PASS her, because that would be impossible. It was an out and back course- we crossed paths.
That is an amazing time! Especially for being a new mom & dealing with that kind of weather, I just can't imagine running so well. Proud of you hannahb!
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
