A quick intro - been on the knot / old nest for 10 years - pretty active on my local board.
I recently started (like 6 months ago) taking kinesis classes. Love them - but kind if need something else to fill in on the days I don't go. I tried running last year, and plantar fasciitis kicked in and I'm hesitant to try that again. (2 month of pt helped, but not completely).
I realize 2 days of classes a week is probably not enough, but it's $$ so adding another class is unlikely. so, any recs? I tried Jillian Michaels on amazon prime, which was okay.
I've also gained (ughhhhhh) weight and am at the highest I've been, so feeling a bit defeated despite loving the classes I'm taking. (Not the fault of the classes - I know the answer to this one). Hoping this board will provide some great motivation if I'm active on it.
Welcome! Good for you for finding something you like to do! What other activities do you enjoy? There are a lot of runners on here, but that certainly isn't the only option - I like to do it because it is cheap, requires almost no equipment, and it can be done virtually anywhere, but there are so many other great activities. Have you thought about a cheaper class like spinning, Zumba, or body pump? What about lifting? I really liked New Rules of Lifting for Women. Or cycling? Maybe taking things outside, like hiking? Swimming? The options are endless.
I'd try a bunch of exercises and see if you find one you enjoy... walking, ice skating, running (can't hurt to try it again), biking, swimming, yoga are some ideas.
Hi and welcome! Classes can get expensive, is there another gym you can join that covers all classes including kinesis? My local gym has classes included so you can do a variety of classes (including the kinesis classes) so I can switch it up, or during times where they don't have classes that work with my schedule I can go use machines on my own.

Thanks, ladies .
I finally got back outside yesterday and today. I'm hoping the nice(r) weather sticks around. My outside time was only walking 2 miles each day, but it's a start.
