My hair is usually between a bob and shoulder length, naturally wavy. I SAH so I am in my workout clothes or jeans 95% of the time. I usually pull my hair back.
I am kind of wanting bangs. I have a huge forehead and I feel like I am looking old and this might perk things up. However, I don't like to spend time doing my hair and I think it will be frustrating when I work out to have them in my face.
If you have bangs, are they hard to manage? Am I about to make a huge mistake?
I had a full set and just recently started growing them out but only because the baby is coming and I don't want to have to worry about doing them every day…I didn't find them to be too annoying - I don't do my hair every morning and all I had to do was blow dry and sometimes flat iron my bangs…in the first pic I think they were even air dried.
This is what they look like when they were a full set:

When my hair was longer and I had bangs it took no time at all to dry them with a round brush even when I didn't dry my hair. I have a big forehead as well and will have them again once my hair grows out.
I had bangs for about a year and have just finished growing them back out. My hair is wavy and I normally dry it at night. With the bangs, I would dry at least my roots if I didn't feel like doing all my hair, and then fix them up with the straightener in the morning. Occasionally I had to re-dry them in the morning if they were really messed up, but it was always pretty quick. I just pinned them back when I worked out or otherwise wanted them out of my face, and wore a headband (which I always do anyway).
ETA: I really liked them and the only reason I grew them out was because I spend so much time in a scrub cap and it gives me headaches to keep them pinned back all the time.
I have bangs right now. I like them for about the first two weeks after I get my hair cut, then I get busy/lazy and don't get them trimmed and don't feel like styling them so they get pinned back for the next six weeks until my next hair cut. I don't love them or hate them. They make my hair look much less awkward during this hair grow out phase, but I probably won't keep them forever.
My threshold for hair maintenance is pretty low, so that is part of the problem. Basically I wash it, rake a brush through it, and hopefully put some anti-frizz serum on it - if not I put hand lotion in it later in the day when it looks all nappy from the humidity.

I've had straight bangs like rugbywife and now have sideswept bangs. Neither is particularly high maintenance for me, although I do have to blow dry them vs. letting them air dry just because I have wavy hair, and air dried wavy bangs is not a good look for me. But blow drying bangs takes like 2 minutes. Sometimes they look flat or greasy before the rest of my hair (if I don't workout, I don't need to wash my hair every day), but I just get them wet and blow dry again, and they're fixed.
I use bobby pins for working out, having them in my face drives me CRAZY.
I had them last year and they were pain in the ass. They looked decent right after styling but the summer heat and humidity did not play nice with them.
They've finally almost grown out and I am so glad to be done with stupid headbands and clips...pony tail and go is much better for me.
I've always had bangs. Big forehead, need "something" there. They are often sideswept and like others said, to work out I usually just clip them back. Not a big deal.
I usually do longer side bangs. I like it because I can wear them down and they kind of help frame my face, but I can also pin them back easily for running/soccer.

Oh, shelbyann has a good point. When I travel to humid places my bangs do not look so hot. If you're in a humid climate and have wavy hair, this might not be your best look.
I live in the Philadelphia area which is super humid in the summer. But those front pieces of my hair are pretty straight, in fact, they always look dumb because they are straight compared to the rest of my hair
