Spring has not sprung here. It's cold but not too wet. I signed up for this crazy walk that we're hoping to do 32.5 miles of in June. Weather has been decent enough for me to get some longer walks in with DS2 in the stroller.
We're going to Portugal next month and I added the weather report to my iPod. Love flipping between local rain and the sunshine.
QOTD: I was going to do something funny for DS1 this morning but I am not feeling well and had a terrible sleep.
DH dropped DS1 off at preschool and they are usually good about these things so maybe he will have something to tell me when I pick him up.
Google had a cute April Fool on a reporting system I use. They turned a pie chart into the moon and changed some of the data to planets instead of countries.

Spring has definitely arrived here. It's in the low 70s and has been for a good portion of March. Woo
QOTD: Today on the radio for a whole 3 hours they managed to do interviews aand talk to correspondents about the new tax that's going to be imposed on everyone - 1 euro / month / employee for the next year to cover the costs of the new airport in Berlin/Brandenburg. After 3 hours and lots of irate calls, they finally 'fessed up to it being an April Fool's Day joke. Everyone seemed to take it well Otherwise nothing in my personal circle, and I'm not really one to do an April Fool's Day joke if I don't have loads of time on my hands.

Hello! It's spring here, although it has cooled down this afternoon and the wind has picked up. I'm fighting a cold and have been getting to bed by pretty much 9pm for the past 5 days. I'm on holidays next week and I would like to be in top shape to get back into running during my time off.
QOTD: Poisson d'Avril is a pretty big thing here among kids. M made 3 paper fish to stick on his teachers backs today. There was a dad at school who had one on his back, I wonder if anyone finally told him about it.

Yay! Break that silence :-P We need more people to do it! :-P
Another day at work, nothing too exciting! I'm not sure if Spring is the right word :-P We're in the mid 20's (C) every day, and sometimes into the 30's. Winter is coming to an end and summer high heat temperatures will be here before we know it! We are getting some rain, so that's sort of spring like :-P
QOTD: Not sure. They just started mandatory reserves service for all Qatar nationals, so a local Qatari writer wrote an article that expats would now be required to as well. Funny :-P Otherwise, I haven't seen too much in the way of April's Fools jokes :-P
Hello. I'm having a pretty good day. Finally slept pretty well last night.
Autumn is arriving here more quickly than expected. A lot of cool/rainy days but the sun still comes out often. I'm gonna switch out my wardrobe this weekend and put away the summer clothes. Not really minding the cozier weather, especially since I'll be in the States for all of June.
QOTD: totally forgot it's april fools. don't think they do it here.
Afternoon! It's been a gorgeous day here! Clear blue skies! I brought dd2 into my work today cos I had to collect some papers. She was as good as gold, even when I was sitting in my boss's office chatting to him. He couldn't believe how good she was! I was supposed to do a few hours work this afternoon but I spent nap time in the garden instead!!
QOTD: I forgot about April Fool's Day! It's my FIL's bday today I'm just remembering!
It is beautiful weather here, but I have to close the shutters to block out the sunshine because my unairconditioned apartment gets incredibly warm with all of the sunlight!
QOTD: like Azure said, the poisson d'avril is a thing here as well, but I don't particularly know anyone who does anything for April Fool's. Baby decided to play a joke on me after midnight last night with 3 hours of contractions only for it to taper off into nothing... so I guess she likes April Fool's day lol
I think it is Spring here. It was over 90* here today. Blah. I wanted 'winter' to last forever.
QOTD: I don't think they do April Fools day. I didn't think about it early enough to ask.
I tried to explain St. Patrick's day to an Indian guy on my team. It was pretty funny. He was all 'So in America you have parades and stuff to celebrate the snakes being chased out of Ireland? That makes no sense.'
potatopie Did you come to an acceptable outcome with work?
Not yet. I'm a bit frustrated. The director had gotten me all excited by talking about starting part-time April 1st. I didn't hear anything so I emailed yesterday and he replies this morning saying, "oh sorry, can you give me a week or so to figure things out further". I don't like the sound of that "or so". I didn't expect this to be super easy, but still a little disappointed. Might have to take a leave day this week or next just to stay sane. At least the rest of April is full of public holidays down here.

We spent two Aprils in Paris and when I mentioned Poisson d'Avril to DD today, she had zero recollection of it. It made me very sad.
I like the fish stuck to people's backs a whole lot more than all the silly not-so-funny lies/exaggerations people have been telling today.
