Ear infection/Home Remedies?

Home remedy help till morning: Linus never had any ear issues and I think (because this is new to me) he has an ear infection of some kind. He won't stop itching his left ear. I looked inside and it is fire engine red whereas the right one is baby pink (normal) coloring.

I can go to the ER if I need too, but can I do a home remedy just to get me to 8am tomorrow so as to not get the steep ER bill?

Any suggestions please!?

Thank You. Yeah I'm headed there first thing in the AM. I just don't want him to suffer tonight; however walking into and ER is steep just to initiate a consultation.
