I am trying a new workout schedule and today is the first day of me going directly from work to crossfit. I meticulously packed my gym clothes but forgot my freaking socks. Am I going to regret going to crossfit in an old pair of running shoes and no socks? Or will it be OK? I had TWO pairs of socks in my hand this morning and now I can't find either. Ugh. Tell me it will be OK and my feet will not blister.
I will pack an extra change of clothes and socks to keep in my car or office moving forward.
All this just to make my favorite coach's 6pm class. /end whine.
Ugh, I've totally been there! It's the worst when you have a solid plan in place, pack everything the night before, and then realize as you're getting ready for your workout that you forgot something. Did it end up working out okay for you?
I've half-contemplated hauling a small dresser to my office to house workout gear for the week.
I toughed it out but man oh man do I have some serious blisters. Of course our warm up was an outdoors run lol. I will say I am glad I toughed it out because today's WOD was a killer one and I felt great (but blistered) when I left.

Ok, I have to share a funny from yesterday. A very similar thing happened to me - I slept in so planned to do my run after work on the mall. I was so proud of myself for packing my shorts, tank, sports bra, hair tie, headband, Garmin, shoes... what's missing from this list? SOCKS!
I was sitting at my desk lamenting my forgotten socks when my boss (male) chimed in, "Socks? You need socks? I've got black dress socks if you need them." Turns out my boss had extra pairs of both black dress socks and white ankle athletic socks - yes, I wore my boss's socks on my run. Lifesaver!
LOL @ragedeannie that's great! What a nice boss! I actually think I still have an old colleague's pair of socks from 6 years ago when we went for a team building bowling event after work. .
Unfortunately, everyone on my hallway was gone when I left so I had no one to ask.
I told DH about it and he said, in a serious tone, " why didn't you just wear your work socks?"
Seriously, DH? It's because I don't wear socks. I am barefoot in my flats unless its snowy. SMH. Men.
