If you use clinical strength deodorant, do you feel like it makes much of a difference? I am thinking about switching, but it is about twice as expensive as my normal stuff so if it is a ripoff, I will pass. Also, i read that you're supposed to apply it at night. Does it still work the whole next day if you workout in the AM, then take a shower? or do you reapply after a shower? I feel like a 12 year old who doesn't know how to work deodorant now, lol.
I use Degree Clinical strength and I do feel it works better than regular deodorant. If I work out and shower at night, I reapply but I also will reapply in the morning. If I don't, I can get stinky, especially if I work out right after work.
I actually used to pit out pretty hard and got a prescription for it. In college I lost it and didn't live near my doctor, so I just bought Certain Dri from Walmart or something, and it works probably better! I apply it 2-3x/week right before I go to bed, and then just wear my regular, normal deodorant during the day. I work out in the morning and it still gets the job done. I am more concerned about pitting out though, rather than an odor, so this may not be helpful...

I've had great experiences with Mitchum for Women Clinical Strength. I don't have to apply at night to get results, but it probably isn't as heavy-duty as what you're considering.
If you do decide to try out clinical strength deodorant, be very careful about not getting it on your clothes. I ruined a couple of dress shirts because I didn't realize that it stains a lot worse than regular deodorant.
To clarify, I don't think I excessively sweat or stink when I work out, but I get wet pits throughout the day and it is groooossssss. Not stinky though, just wet. And embarassing. And I super duper want it to stop.

Ask for a prescription! As PP mentioned, you might see results using Certain Dry as it has the same ingredients as Drysol, the product I used for many years. It made a huge difference and I was so glad I finally asked my dr.

This was exactly my problem. It took a couple of weeks of using it to even out, but the Certain Dri routine changed my life.
I've never even heard of certain dri. Am I living under a rock? I'll have to look for it the next time I'm at Target. I googled and it says it lasts for 72 hours?!? This has to be a lie, right? Still apply every day? Or apply every third day and use normal deodorant in between?
This. I used to have awful breakthrough sweating and switched to Secret's version and definitely have noticed a difference. I've been using it for a couple years now.

Yep this was my issue too. Its why I switched to clinical strength.

I used to use certain dri then i switched to regular for a while. I probably should pick some up at my next target run. I've been using dove clinical lately and it helps but not as much as certain dri.
I swear by clinical strength. I have to use Secret because they seem to be the only brand with a hypo-allergenic clinical strength deodorant and I love it.

Ha I don't think most people notice it unless/until they need it.
I apply every third night (basically - I estimate) and just use my regular deodorant as I normally would each morning.
It looks like this and is usually at the bottom of the shelf with the rest of the deodorant. You apply it at night and wear regular deodorant during the day.
I haven't used certain dri myself, but had a prescription for drysol before I had kids. I never refilled it, but I would use the drysol once a week at night and wear Secret during the day like usual.

This is me too. I use either Secret or Dove Clinical strength (whichever seems to be cheaper) and it has improved significantly. I just put it on after my shower in the morning.
I used to use Certain Dri. That shit buuuuuurnns! But it works.
You guys are fantastic. I'm going to pick some up this weekend and give it a try. I will report back, since I'm sure you will all be dying to know the status of my pits!
