Any brand is fine. I look for a multivitamin with Ca2+ and Fe. That eliminates all the candy-gummy type things, which don't generally have Ca2+.
They don't do anything magical, but I know that I don't hit 100% of the USRDA of calcium and a few other things regularly enough when left to my own devices, so it helps fill in those gaps.
Most ladies here aren't fans of multivitamins. A lot of us just take what we're deficient in, so I take Iron, B12, and Vitamin D because I'm deficient in those (as determined by my doc). The glaring exception is prenatal vitamins.
I take a "hair, skin, and nails" vitamin because I'm vain like that.
I actually take this one on occasion too because it was the least expensive way to get additional Calcium, A and B and vitamins that I'm missing. There was a lot of good stuff in one capsule, good bang for your buck, and it doesn't make my stomach upset like my regular calcium supplement does.
The one I take is Finest Nutrition.
I track my food with livestrong.com and it gives me my daily % of vitamins, and I'm always seriously lacking.

That's a good point that it's a good bang for your buck. I usually take either the Trader Joes brand version of Futurebiotics brand (purchased from our local health food store).
