So what is everyone up to this weekend. I have Friday off from going to Oxford for my course for the next 3 weeks which is fabulous (especially since I have a paper due in 3 weeks) and Monday off from my internship at UCL, so long weekend for me! I'm meeting some of my DH's work friends tonight, then tomorrow night having dinner & drinks with a few friends, then who knows. I'm just happy I get a chance to relax a bit as this week has been busier than usual.
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend! Good luck with getting sleep/having fun/relaxing/whatever!
DH is off for a business trip until Monday evening so me and DS are on our own. I'm actually looking forward to it. I can clean the house well (without DH making a mess as he always does!) and then I'm going to go through my closest and organize a bit. I'm oddly very excited about this. Also, no major cooking to worry about without DH. I can eat salads and cheese and crackers all weekend . And nutella
We are headed away for the weekend - yay!! There'll be a trip to the zoo, a beach and maybe a castle involved. Dd1 doesn't know about the castle part, though she did request/insist on the beach visit! To build sandcastle a and have icecream... She doesn't understand spring in Ireland yet, clearly!
On the down side, I've a sore throat, tennis elbow and a sore knee. And we'll be on "pox alert" for dd1..... Really hope she doesn't come down with it, especially over the weekend! (There's an outbreak in crèche)

It's been a bad week around my house and I'm glad it's over, through next week does not look much better. We're taking it easy this weekend, though Saturday we're going to take dinner over to one of DH's oldest friends whose brother passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. Making matters worse for her/her family is the fact that the funeral is delayed until after the autopsy is complete and they are say it will take at least another week.
We kind of just want to get through this time, but its the kind of thing that the only way to get through it is to go through it, you know? Lots of things are up in the air right now.
I actually slept last night and it was fabulous! Still woke up 4-5 times throughout the night, but managed to get some real sleep and I'm grateful for that! This weekend we have the ILs coming to deliver an armoire we bought a couple of months ago but couldn't fit in our car. So we will be putting that together. We also have a friend (from when we met on exchange in Scotland) coming over on Sunday that we haven't seen in a long time! So that should be pretty nice
Other than that, there is a neighborhood sale this weekend that we might hit up if we have the time!

I should have left the house today but we have been out so much this week I thought it would be better to stay indoors, wrong! Now i know why I never stay indoor with a toddler. Longest morning ever.
Plus, I found out amazon uk no longer delivers for free to Luxembourg so I am angry because all my baby supplies, books, and toys come from there.
I am not sure what we are going to do this weekend. It is supposed to be rainy. boo!

I am having a pretty good Friday. I sent out a lot of CVs yesterday and I'm getting some replies today. I'm trying to organize interviews for the following week.
We have nothing special planned this weekend. We have to run some errands, but not too many, thank god! Since we moved, we have been running errands every weekend. I'm really looking forward to my kitchen being installed next week. I can't wait.

hahahaha! I make this observation to myself almost daily now lol
potatopie I complain a lot about my DH being away for work but there are some nice perks. Sometimes I eat Mexican salad for lunch and dinner... for most of the week. And I tidy our bedroom as soon as he leaves... and it stays that way.
The sun is shining here. It feels hot. This is incredible.
DH is going out tonight and I'm going out with friends for dinner tomorrow night. Might do a little road trip to a cute town this weekend.

I didn't know that you are interning at UCL but that's fantastic news. Well done, you.
Wanderista - part of the CBT course at Oxford involves having two clients (minimum) per term that you can see consistently through the term. I knew that it wasn't going to be a guarantee of my private practice so I figured I'd try to get an internship. I'm loving the work at UCL and probably will try to get a job working in one of the London universities if I can as a psychotherapist in a counselling centre.

UCL is great! My H is finishing up his PhD there. What sort of work is your internship?
We went to the Coffee Festival today. It was a lot of fun, but quite crowded. Tomorrow we're going to a Brazilian pop up - the event is a creation of a good friend of mine, and should have some amazing food.
