-It's so nice out today. It's been beautiful all week, and I just want to be outside enjoying it. Of course the weekend comes, and BAM, rain. Quit yo' shit FL!
- We're going out tomorrow night to celebrate my favorite running buddy's 30th birthday. I ordered her the cutest necklace (XXVI.II charm) from etsy, but it's not going to be here in time. However, I'm also making her a running photo book, and it's awesome! I'll have that to give to her tomorrow, so I'm still excited about her gifts. I printed a pic of the necklace to put in her card.
- I'm obsessed with vacation planning, and it's stressing me out. First world problems. I waited too long on our plane tickets, and they're not going back down to the awesome price they were at.
- DH and I win aunt & uncle of the year awards! This was turned in by our 8 yr old nephew, for his descriptive writing assignment. Please note the bolded.
"I have been to ::City I live::. It is a place that has a beach. We stay at my Uncle C and Aunt C's house. There's a lot of fun stuff at ::city::. There's a football stadium, museum, tall buildings, Mexican restaurant, mall, beach, park, beer places, swimming pool, hotels, arcades, zoo."

We're pretty proud. Solid work
Beer places! Hahahahahaa, best!
I'm still hacking up nasty shit. so OVER it!! I just want to run and swim and ride my bike!!
H is is a finalist for a job in Atl. Atl girls, I may be coming atcha with some questions about where to live. I know moving comes with the territory in my H's line of work, and we've moved to different states before, but it does make me a little nervous. We've also almost moved to CA and Iowa in the last year, so this should be old hat for me. It's scary every time still!
* I had such high hopes for the weekend, but it's supposed to storm today through Monday. Boo.
* I have to book a hotel for a work conference at the end of this month, but the stupid online reservation won't take the special event discount code. I HATE CALLING!
* We bought L a trampoline (since she is obsessed with the one at gymnastics) and I am SO EXCITED to surprise her with it! I really want to hold out on giving it to her until Easter. My plan is to do an Easter egg hunt and then put the last egg on the trampoline. My H is so excited, though, that I don't know if he can wait two more weeks. I wonder if that will change once he looks at the set-up instructions. Ha.

I'm spectating a race and running the fun run with my kids tomorrow. I'm so excited. I've never spectated before. I hope my kids hang in there until the end of the half (or at least until most of my running friends finish), but that may be asking a lot.

Good luck to your H! I hear you on moving...we are in this position right now. It's going to happen, but we just don't know when...and it's so exciting and terrifying at the same time! My brother lived in ATL for a while...I can't remember the suburb. But he loved it!

Eeeeek! This is SO much closer to me. You can come visit, and I can make sure that E, one day, also turns in assignments about all of the beer places!

H and I were getting so fired up looking at the map and seeing all of the fun places for weekend trips! Weeeeeeeee!!
- DD fell asleep at 5:30PM tonight. I was all 'let her sleep so I can prep fruit and veggies so we actually eat them over the next few days'. Then I tried to wake her up at 6:15 and she asked to brush her teeth. She insisted on going to bed. I am going to be getting up VERY early tomorrow.
- It is already hotter here than Indiana in August. I think I only have another week or two of night time lows hitting to upper 70's. That sucks.
- There was some kind of corporate running event happening on my running track this morning. The timer dude called out my splits each time I passed by. I was kind of ashamed about how slow they were, but simultaneously gloating when I passed dudes with 'Finance' or 'Engineering' shirts while pushing the Bob.
- I wish my company had running events. In the US they sponsored a marathon, but I moved the day before it took place. That would never happen here.
- My porch is really dirty. I only sit on it at night, so I never noticed how bad it was until today when DD went to bed early and I hit my outdoor sofa an hour earlier than usual...in daylight. Eww.
One of the girls in my workout group mentioned Monday that she had an Athena sex toy party. We really aren't that close, more like familiar acquaintances, but I'm super nosey and really want to ask her what she got.
I'm sad that there's only 4 weeks left of my workout group, and my trainer leaves for the summer. I'll be left to carry on all on my own.
One more. My upper back is still sore from the flabby stomach yoga I posted about like a week ago. I guess I should do more yoga. Or more of that routine anyway.
-I've been working in DC for 13 years and I have never once seen the cherry blossoms. My office is several blocks from the mall so all I have seen are a few random trees. This year, I am determined. I ran down there earlier in the week but I was a day too early. Maybe I'll have a chance to take a walk today!
-My favorite summer event, Yappy Hour at a local wine store, starts tonight. I'm excited because it feels like the real beginning of the season to me. It's a dog-friendly event, but we don't have dogs. So I get lots of fun snuggles, and love coming home covered in fur and doggy drool!
-So, my MIL. When we saw her a few weeks ago, she kept asking which charity I was running my HM for. I kept explaining to her that it was a race, not a charity event. Finally, she said "Well, I just don't understand why you wouldn't just do the March for Babies with {BIL, SIL and niece}, it's the same thing-but you actually raise money for something". Way to ignore my efforts, MIL.

This reminds me of my MIL. Totally different story, but we ran a huge marathon near her house and she came with us to RnR Las Vegas... Both times she asked if we were going to win. Like seriously she wanted to know. I love that she thinks so highly of H and I, but...
-We went to Vegas last weekend and ate and drank waaayyyy too much. I haven't worked out since I've been back because the time change and overtime at work have kicked my ass. 8 miles is on the agenda for tomorrow, and I swear to myself that I will actually go do it.
-I have a serious case of wanderlust. It has been an entire YEAR since our RTW! H and I just got 5 weeks off approved for October... we're going to Nepal! I seriously can't wait. I have a lot of researching to do, since we want to do a massive hike.
-I've been pacing a "spring" (in quotation fingers because its been like 30 degrees for every run) training program for a half marathon and I am a little sad to say that I don't like it as well as I thought I would. The group is super regimented and insistent on dynamic warmups, lots of stretching after, carrying your own water (to set a good example, but the runs have been max 8 miles so far and I usually don't drink for that so its annoying). And I just generally am not fond of the "feel" of the group. And I love training in groups. Just not this one. I am a little sad that I can't wait for it to be over.
Mr. GT's Garmin died and I convinced him to buy the top of the line 620, rather than one of the older models. The only problem is that I ordered it from Road Runner Sports to get the 10% discount and it isn't supposed to be here till Tuesday. He is going to have to borrow a watch for our race tomorrow.
kams... I used to live in Atlanta, we'd love to move back if I could find a job.
My back is a mess, and both my PT and massage therapist are out of town w/their munchkins for Spring Break. I have a massage with a friend of a friend that is a LMT (licensed massage therapist) today. It could go really good or really bad.
I do not want to eat the frozen thing I brought for lunch, but I don't want to go out.

We're already planning a trip to FL for next year to visit family and I'm planning around my BQ attempt marathon. Although lately I've been doubting whether a BQ is even possible at least not till I age up.
I pushed the baby up Heartbreak Hill today (walking). Maybe one day I'll be able to run it. Mad props to people who run that as part of a marathon.
Anyway, the baby started crying at the furthest point from home, so I really had to power walk it home. She just stared at me with wide eyes as I was new mommy panicking.

We bought a new car Sunday. We are now SUV people. I'm not sure how I feel about that.
I am extraordinarily upset that the rain is going to wash out the weekend 2 weekends in a row.
I have to drive about an hour to a workshop 3 days next week. I am planning my schedule for that around my Monday and Wednesday runs. Guess we know what my priorities are.
I am killing my Friday afternoon watching Ospery Cam.

I'm a dork, and forgot I signed up for a 10 mile race this Sunday. Well, I thought I signed up for a different one that's on the 27th. Thank goodness for that runner info email I received yesterday!
I was missing a beautiful half on the 26th because I thought I was racing on the 27th, so I went ahead and signed up for that, and will just treat Sunday as a long run rather than a race. Done and done!
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.

I just saw a story that a judge here will rule that our marriage ban is unconstitutional. I am sure that the state will appeal, but OMG I might be married legally in my home. This would mean that I would also be able to legally adopt my son--the one that we tried so hard for, whose conception I was there for, that I whispered to in the womb and read countless stories to, whose hand I was the first to hold. I can't even begin to describe how this makes me feel.
