I just saw a story that a judge here will rule that our marriage ban is unconstitutional. I am sure that the state will appeal, but OMG I might be married legally in my home. This would mean that I would also be able to legally adopt my son--the one that we tried so hard for, whose conception I was there for, that I whispered to in the womb and read countless stories to, whose hand I was the first to hold. I can't even begin to describe how this makes me feel.
every time I get an email from marathon photo or whomever took the race photos with LAST CHANCE FOR XXX PICTURES I laugh. no marathon photo, I know you are going still be telling me it's my last chance for chicago marathon photos until I'm 50. shit, when I'm 51 I could probably send an email to the CS dept and ask 'can I order a photo from teh 2013 chicago marathon?' and they would still do it.
DH and I wanted to Cross Fit last night and We looked up the WOD and even thought we wanted to go and the workout seemed like fun, the fact that the last workout was so bad and that the class was so overcrowded made us nix it:( We ran 3 miles instead which wasn't so bad.
We are going to try a new CF box on Saturday - I'm nervous. I'm shy and it's always hard me to push myself to try new things. It was difficult enough to start Cross Fot and now we need to find a new box - sigh, first world problems...
DH and I are thinking of booking a cruise overseas - so excited! DH has 2 weeks off in July so we will have plenty of time to explore:)
DH is out of town for the next week, and the only "girls night" I have planned is me, the dog (a girl), a chick flick and wine. If I'm not too lazy to stop at the store on my way home it may also include some ice cream that I can eat with the sleeve of GS thin mints I found in our freezer. Who knows how old they are, I'm pretty sure they don't go bad, right?
btw, total fluke that these were found- cookies stand no chance in my house normally.
So the shorts I ordered from athleta yesterday are being shipped today...from the warehouse that's on the other end of town from where I live. But yet they won't be here until probably Monday. Waaaaaaah. Want shorts now.
Also, I am dropping this picture off here because its extra cute. This kid is something else!
It's been a long week. Students are giving me grief, lab work has been irritating, and I've slept about 4 hours the past two nights. Ugh.
I convinced my lab to get pizza for lab meeting today from a "specialized" pizza place. Each slice is 14" long. I'm such a good H&F citizen.
I'm going to be in DC this weekend! I can't wait to see cherry blossoms!
And as I reread this, I realized I forgot nuun, a gu, Larabars and pretty much everything else for the 20 miles I'm planning on running in the city. Halp.
Where are you staying? There are a ton of running stores here. Also, if you go to the National Building Museum tonight or tomorrow, you could pick up something from the CB race expo. Judiciary Square metro stop.

I have a strong feeling pretty much ALL marriage bans are going to end up overturned. It's awesome!
I just got back from the absolute worst 10 mile run of my entire life (ok maybe not WORST, but for sure in the top 10). It.was.horrible. Slow, painful, felt light-headed and had horrible cramps... SO glad it's over.

Mental training! You toughed it out and got it done. Great job. Those runs are the worst!
- DH and I win aunt & uncle of the year awards! This was turned in by our 8 yr old nephew, for his descriptive writing assignment. Please note the bolded.
"I have been to ::City I live::. It is a place that has a beach. We stay at my Uncle C and Aunt C's house. There's a lot of fun stuff at ::city::. There's a football stadium, museum, tall buildings, Mexican restaurant, mall, beach, park, beer places, swimming pool, hotels, arcades, zoo."
We're pretty proud. Solid work
Beer places! Hahahahahaa, best!
I'm still hacking up nasty shit. so OVER it!! I just want to run and swim and ride my bike!!
H is is a finalist for a job in Atl. Atl girls, I may be coming atcha with some questions about where to live. I know moving comes with the territory in my H's line of work, and we've moved to different states before, but it does make me a little nervous. We've also almost moved to CA and Iowa in the last year, so this should be old hat for me. It's scary every time still!
Sqqquueeeeee! Here to help! We just bought a new house so we've done a lot of research on the current market!
My back is a mess, and both my PT and massage therapist are out of town w/their munchkins for Spring Break. I have a massage with a friend of a friend that is a LMT (licensed massage therapist) today. It could go really good or really bad.
I do not want to eat the frozen thing I brought for lunch, but I don't want to go out.
I can't stop eating today. I can't even keep up on mfp. I can't stop eating m&ms and Cadbury cream eggs lately too. Wth. How did that craving start? Lol

I pushed the baby up Heartbreak Hill today (walking). Maybe one day I'll be able to run it. Mad props to people who run that as part of a marathon.
Anyway, the baby started crying at the furthest point from home, so I really had to power walk it home. She just stared at me with wide eyes as I was new mommy panicking.
My sister's dog was at my house yesterday when the stinker slipped out the door and took off. Without thinking, I sprinted after her in flip flops down the alley. Thankfully I caught her but it was also a perfect and successful run. I was totally fine, well except for the uneven pupils but I've given up on those ever acting the same. Lol
Also, my MIL is having issues. I'm not exactly sure what is causing it but she is clearly trying to hang on to every memory of DH as a child and is clearly wishing it was still like that.
