DH and I are "running" it. I had to put that in quotes, because we're both undertrained and I have an injury, so it's definitely going to be more of a fun run than a race for me. But it should still be fun.
I signed up for the Cherry Pit (not a typo) 10 miler. I'm feeling pretty crappy right now (cold/throat crud), and will only show up if I'm feeling 100%. I wanted to see where I'm at compared to the last time I raced it, but if I'm sick I don't think it is accurate comparison. It was only $10, so I'm not going to sweat it.

A 10-mile race for $10 ? Never heard of such a thing!

Hope you feel better.
It is a Annapolis Striders low key/no thrills club race. They used to be $5. It's a great deal, and you still get the standard food at the end. When I ran the winner got cherry coke and a nice plant. Some of the other local running groups have the cheapies too.

Lol- I was looking at this race this morning, and cracking up at the course map. Annapolis Striders have the most high-tech maps, don't they?
GOOD LUCK everyone! It's a beautiful weekend for the locals!
oh, me me me! First race since November. Local 5 mile race. I am using it as my running test for my coach to establish HR zones for my 70.3 training plan. Eep!
GRRRR.... I'm still bitter that I'm not running Cherry blossom. I will be drowning my sorrows at a 5k on Saturday, hopefully all the fast runners are resting for CB and I can squeak in an age group award.

I think everyone should get a cherry coke after a race I love cherry coke.
I'll be screwing around for a period of time not to exceed 2 hours on the CB course on Sunday. it will be nothing that even remotely resembles racing. I'm just hoping I finish without embarassing myself too mcuh.
Haven't decided if I'm racing or winter camping...waiting on friends to figure out their stuff. Either I'm winter camping Sat-Sun or I'm showing up in Colorado Springs for the Xterra 24K on Sunday morning. We'll see...

Yup, same here. I'm going to consider it a fun, supported workout.

I'm running a local 5k. I'm excited since I haven't run a true 5k in 9 weeks and I want to see how all my training has improved my time. I'm also running with a college friend who runs a similar pace so hopefully we can push ourselves to a decent PR.
Cherry Blossom for me too! I made a bib for baby that says "MVB Most Valuable Baby on Board Est. Finish: 08:21:14" (my due date). It won't be a fast race for me, but it will be an instant PR for baby. Good luck fellow racers!
I'm "racing" a half on Sunday with my sister. It was my very first half (and hers, too!), and it has kick ASS post-race food, so we're going for it. We'll be lucky to break 2:05, I suspect.

I thought I was running a local 5k on Sunday. Turns out it's tomorrow! Whoops. So yeah! I am running a local 5k tomorrow.
I am racing with a friend who is new to running. She is so nervous, but I know she will do great! I will check back in to see everyone's race reports. Good Luck everyone!

H and I are doing the Philadelphia Hot Chocolate 15K on Sunday. Organization has been a bit of a clusterfuck, so I hope we are pleasantly surprised on Sunday. At least the weather is supposed to be decent.
Cherry Blossom race for me! Did it last year and it was the race that made me realize I want to pursue distance racing-- I had such a blast. Looking forward to a great time on Sunday!
