What are good anti-aging face products? Not necessarily brands, but the active ingredients in stuff. I'm 25, have oily skin but not really any wrinkles or anything yet. I can be acne prone, but it's more hormone/stress related. I want to start a good preventative regimen.
In a nutshell, the things that are best for your overall skin health and preventing the signs of aging are:
Retin-A (if you are dead set against this, at least an OTC retinol product).
Wearing at least SPF 30 during the day
Using an antioxidant product during the day (can be part of your spf product or a separate serum). Vitamin C is great, but there are all kinds of other anti-oxidants that work.
Copper peptides (make sure GHK is listed on the label, as there are a lot of "fake" versions that won't work). A good brand is Neova. True copper peptide products are expensive, and it's the one product that I think is worth the splurge (well, plus Retin A)
I use occasional TCA peels, and they make my skin really soft.
The two best things you can do for your skin to prevent/reduce signs of aging are Retin A and being religious about wearing spf 30+ every single day.
