Need flea help!

A few weeks back I posted about the lost dog that found me, well said dog had fleas. I discovered the fleas after he had been in my house about 24 hours and I treated him with a dose of frontline and comfortis. My two dogs are on Trifexis so I (wrongly) assumed they would be fine. Well, now my dogs have fleas. I used frontline on both and have been vaccuming the heck out of our house but it seems to be getting worse not better. I am trying to avoid spraying the house with pesticide so what else can I do? Is there something better than frontline? They would be due for another dose next week so I could switch to something else. Thanks!
