Guys I need a hug something fierce. Remember the guy I hung out with a few weeks ago? Was excited about? But then it dwindled and I was like eh, it's ok. I had some time to reflect and was glad it didn't go anywhere- he wouldn't be good for me in the long run. We didn't really talk after that.
Well he called me tonight. Going on about how he missed me. And how he has always had feelings for me. And then... He said "My friend asked 'Why isn't Chelsea here?!'"
Guys. My name isn't Chelsea. I said "you know who you're talking to, right?" Of course. "Look at your phone." (Pause.) oh.
I hung up. Texted him something how he needs to get help because I've realized he throws the same lines out to everyone but means none of them. And then I blocked him.
Honestly ... While I wouldn't have jumped into something with him, a part of my heart loved hearing that he missed me. Like - no one has said that to me. You know? So I just feel like this was the ultimate mindfuck for now, and my great weekend is now ending in tears. I'm letting myself have tonight, then it's back to awesome mp tomorrow.
Ugh!!!!! There are no words!!! I'm so sorry, what a dick.
I'm sorry, mp. I have a lot of the same feelings you have about dating and guys, and it does get really discouraging. I'd love to give you big hugs and cry it out over a glass of wine, but alas, we are on opposite coasts. Feel better soon.
"Everything happens for a reason, people change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so you can appreciate them when they're right, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can come together." ~Marilyn Monroe
Why do almost all guys have these stupid rehearsed lines in their back pocket. It is as if they just know what buttons to push and when. I am sorry. At least you are strong enough to hang up and walk away. sending you hugs and hair pats!
Why does it hurt so much to be rejected by someone you know is not good enough for you? I have never quite understood that and yet it happens over and over again to all of us. Keep your head held high, mp. You're golden.
