It has been ages since I've flown Southwest and didn't have a kid when I did so never played attention.
Do they preboard families with young children? I'll be flying alone with my six month old and am trying to decide if we should buy the early boarding or if it would be a waste of cash.
Thanks! That is what I thought I had remembered. I think we'll skip the early boarding purchase then.
There's generally no need for it thanks to the family boarding process. They only time I recommend it is if your plane didn't originate in your departure city. That's the only time I've ever had difficulty finding seats together when we boarded as a family. Luckily someone was willing to move so that I could be next to my kids (who were 1 and 3 at the time). But yes, for the most part early boarding is a waste for families IMO.
