Anchor earrings Locally made, summery scented soaps A beach towel Flip flops Sunblock Chapstick A compact brush and mirror Make up removing towelettes Cape May magnets A map of the town just for fun And then we paid for brunch the next morning.
My SIL and bff also got necklaces. I feel like I'm forgetting something else I'd put in their bags, but that was the gist of it.

I had two and got them each a GC to a salon near them. After it was all said and done, I wish I had just given them that money to help pay for their dresses. We were all young and poor and it would have been better that way. I also paid for their hair and make up the day of.
Pearl drop earrings and a matching necklace, to be worn for the wedding. My sister did earrings for the wedding and flip-flops for the reception along with cute pouches from Anthro.
A nice tote with a pashmina, sparkly hair accessories, lip balm and a hand written card. I think there were other random goodies there but I can't remember.
I also gave the same things to the mothers and those also had a framed picture of DH and I. Now I have my mom's tote.
I thought the jewelry to be worn on the wedding day (as a gift) was a big faux pas? Or maybe that's because I hung out on TK and everyone was flamed who considered it.
I will admit the earrings/necklaces that I got, never get worn because the pearls look really, really cheap with bad beading.

Really? I've never heard this (but I never lurked/posted on The Knot). I've been in 7 weddings and got jewelry to wear the day of 5 times. The other two times the bride picked out the jewelry she wanted the bridesmaids to wear and we bought it ourselves.

The necklaces I bought for my bridesmaids did not have to be worn on the day of the wedding.
I got them all something different. For my sister, I bought a half marathon race registration and running survival kit for us to run a race together. I got one BM a prenatal massage GC, one a bunch of gear for her favorite NFL team, and one a nice monogrammed backpack (she's a teacher and had been carrying a beat up old one for ages).
H got all the groomsmen tickets so they could go to a college football game together at their alma mater.
$100 gift card to a local spa/salon and cute sandals to wear at the reception (two of them were pregnant and the other was 2 months PP, I knew they would want comfortable footwear, lol). I put them in cute baskets with a handwritten note to each of them thanking them for being amazing.
Best gift I have received was slip on Uggs, no back to it. It was a winter wedding & after dancing all night I left those suckers in my bag I had at reception site bridal suite. Threw them on so I was warm and didn't bust my butt on the ice headed out to the shuttle on their NYE wedding.

The first time around I got them personalized jewelry boxes by a local artist (NOT monogrammed) and necklaces. The necklaces didn't have to be worn the day if but I think they all might have.
The second time around I just had a MOH and I gave her a really nice pair of Judith Jack earrings from Nordies.
I ordered monogrammed totes from LL Bean and filled them: a scarf a book I thought each would like flip flops a Burt's Bees gift pack ... and something else that I can't remember. A bottle of wine, maybe?
