Hi everyone What's been going on? And hey to littlemermaid, welcome and sorry the board is not so jumpin'. Did you find an anniversary gift for your hubby?
Nothing too much new with me. But the babies are 4 months old now and have been more active, they are rolling over a lot. Oh and Natalie HATES taking baths all of a sudden and cries the whole time and also when she's being dried off. It sucks. Any tips aside from making sure she's not cold? I hope it's a short phase...
Lauren totally a phase. I think they all go through it.
We made it to our new state! Tomorrow will be 1 week and tomorrow the movers will be here with our stuff. Our BFF is coming in tonight to lend me a hand with the kids in the morning. He's coming straight from his vaca in Cancun. He changed his layover from Atlanta to Raleigh and made it an overnight lay over. The plan was to surprise me but H knew how anxious I was to have no help since he can't get out of working all day, so he spilled the beans. I'm so excited to have our first Fl visiter so soon!!
We're finding out NC state taxes are crazy so we aren't as rich as we thought we were after the move, but I cross my fingers that we get some back.
Ben can't figure out if he's a good sleeper or a terrible one. He's been sleeping awful but them last night he only woke up twice in 12 hours and went right back to sleep after eating.
Amelia is a champion although she is getting tired of being cooped up in the hotel, as am I. Tomorrow will be a good day!

Still haven't figured out what to get him but I spilled the beans about the gifts I'm considering. The problem is that he needs to be here to see all of them and decide if he actually likes them since they're all pretty big purchases. He's going to get spoiled over the next two months: birthday on the 27th, anniversary on the 28th and hopefully passing the Checkride on his new plane in mid-June. Meep! I know he wants a new laptop, new kayak paddles, and a new watch. This is going to be spendy…:-P
This my first time jumping on the board in a looong time. Congrats on the big move, Sara! Lauren, I am impressed by your amazing transition to SAH momma to twins. You have two beautiful babies! Welcome to the board, littlemermaidlc! I'm a little sad that the board has slowed down so much. I guess I'm partially to blame since I almost never come on anymore. Somedays I miss having a job with down time for online chatting. :-)
Things are good here. This week was the one year anniversary of my arrival here in Bucharest. One year down, one to go, then I head back to the States for training and vacation before we move on to Nairobi. Every single day seems like a gauntlet here, perhaps because I'm a sucker and can't say no to new projects. I'm a glutton for punishment. The kids and husband are well and weekends are the best!
cop! Hey girl hey! How far in advance do they tell you where you are going?? That's exciting!
Nothing new here. I'm boring as always. Well, I am starting to studying for the GRE. If I have the funds I will be signing up to take it on May 17 (when my stepdad goes to the testing center in Maitland to take his ASEs, so we will go together). I need email an advisor at USF to see if I can start classes here this year (since they have satellite locations over here.) I'm looking at 2 years of schoolwork, but I am excited about getting into a career. I did also apply for a position at a local public library as an assistant and hopefully that will help me.

You and your H are able to get placed in the same place no problem? That is amazing. I love reading your blog updates. Such an adventure!!
We've transitioned well into my going back to work. It's been a huge transition because I worked for a very large company before, and now I'm one of 17, but I love the family type atmosphere - and enjoying work so much more than I did in my prior life.
Shane took his first few steps about a week ago. He's very hesitant to do it, but I love how he looks like a little mummy, holding his arms out straight in front of him, to try and balance when he does walk.
