I was wondering if anyone here has dealt with a major flea problem and what you did about it. Everything was just fine and then about two months ago BOOM, fleas everywhere. We have sprayed our floors, furniture and yard. Bathed the dogs/cat repeatedly. We have used oral and topical flea control. I am about at my wit's end. We have two Minpins, a cat and a toddler so I don't want to use anything toxic to them.
Fleabusters, maybe? www.fleabuster.com We haven't used it, but it's supposed to be safe and very effective. In some areas you can have them come to your house and apply it.

Have you tried Comfortis? Its an oral once a month flea product and works amazing! No matter what you use you have to treat all the pets in the house for 4 consecutive months to kill off the life cycle of a flea. Also vacuum often and was all pets bedding often.
My dog was around another dog that we later found out had fleas. And I found one bouncing around on her and bathed her right away, vacuumed everything and washed all her bedding and then took her to the vet. Although she didn't have any more on her, just the one from that day- the vet prescribed Comfortis. It's awesome and have never had an issue since.
Thanks! We have used comfortis for two months now. We were using advantage before that. I can't wait until all of the spraying, vacuuming, flea checking, etc ENDS! So frustrating.
