Haha. I'm thinking of doing a picture collage or something from Costco and having it framed. I also like to do something 'fun' just for him, whether it's a new movie or t-shirt with a funny saying or something.
My sister and I always take my dad fishing or shooting because we're rednecks lol. We also usually do a gidt card for new fishing gear or ammo. Sometimes we'll take him to see a movie. At this point he really just wants to spend time with both of us. I also love the pictures of kids holding letters to spell out dad.
I told H he is welcome to celebrate mothers day for me this year and he laughed. Damn.

This irritates me so much!! You're pregnant. It's Mother's Day. It totally counts! J did this too when I asked him what we were doing for Mother's Day when I was pregnant with M. He was like, "You're not a mom yet, so nothing."
i missed my first mother's day bc i didn't find out i was pregnant until a few days before father's day. boo. but yes. definitely. baby in belly = mother's day. and father's day. and he's an asshole.
I usually get H something he's been wanting or needed. One year he got a new laptop. I also try and do a nice breakfast up for him and go out and get his coffee so its there when he gets up.
My dad is another story since his bday is usually on or just around fathers day. He never wants anything though so I always bake up his favorites and make him a nice dinner one of the weekends around there.

I can't be bothered to come up with stuff to do for Mother's Day and Father's Day when we have so much other stuff going on (baby on the way, moving, I don't even know how many trips back and forth to California). Napping? Napping sounds good.
We haven't done much for either mother's day or father's day. DH is horrible about planning things (birthdays, Christmas, etc. included) so we often do a special dinner at home. I get him gifts, at least something small...he often doesn't get me anything. I hope someday he learns...
