We've been dead over here. What's up? What's been going on? What do you have planned for the weekend? Anything fun or interesting on your radar?

Let's see...I ran my first 10K last weekend and it went a lot better than I was expecting! That was cool. And I've signed up for a half marathon later this year. Also I've lost a little over 20lbs since October, so that makes me happy. Hm...other than that just staying super busy at work and home.

This weekend I have my running group tomorrow morning and the boy has soccer. We're having one of his friends over tomorrow afternoon/evening for a playdate and dinner, which should be fun.

We've got a trip to VA in our future to visit some friends who moved there a few years ago. One of them has been diagnosed for the second time with breast cancer and there's nothing they can really do about it, so a very small going of friends are going skydiving while she can (not me, I'll be on the ground with my camera and another friend who is going but not jumping).

Oh, and we've also got a trip to NC coming up later for a family wedding. We decided to stay an extra day so we can enjoy the trip instead of having to rush home.

Honestly...I don't feel like I fit in here anymore. Most of everyone here got married in 2007-2009. We all kind of move from knot to nest to bump to here. We've lost a lot of people over the years.

Most, if not all, of those couples are all still happily married and growing their families. Jenn and I split up over a year ago and so it's just me and my little boy. I'm about 90% sure that I am one and done unless something major changes. I've been toying with the idea of perhaps attempting to date men as well as women so like I said... I don't know if I really fit in anymore.

buying a car (come hell or high water)
meal planning- I'm trying grocery delivery! woop! I'm ca-razy!!
walking and walking and walking in the beautiful sunshine
finishing the playroom - it looks amazing!
starting the mudroom re-do
getting my brakes done

E has been on spring break this week and spent a good portion of it at her dad's with her auntie visiting. She's back home with me and I'm glad because I missed her so.

My parents are visiting and stayed with us last night/tonight. My dad is helping me tear off the POS deck the prior owners built in our backyard. I am having a stamped concrete patio installed the first week of June. I cannot WAIT to spend more time hanging out in our backyard, grilling and fire pit and it's going to be awesome!

The weather is supposed to be lovely here this weekend. I'm hoping we will get to spend some time outside, perhaps I can get some work done in the yard. We are having dinner with the folks and brother/SIL/nephew tomorrow and maybe we'll get a chance to hit the beach close to their house. Have a great weekend everyone!
