Will someone on here buy my gently used Ergo so I can buy a Tula?
Sell it on the babywearing swap on FB! There is one I think that is for carriers/wraps with under $100 too if you don't want to deal with the huge swap.
What is this, can I just look up "babywearing swap" there?

You're OAD right? Do you think it's worth the price tag even if you're not going to use it for a subsequent kid? I want one but I'm hesitant to pull the trigger since we are not having any more kids.
Probably OAD, though I would love a 2nd. The wrap conversions sell for more than the retail value on the buy/sell/trade site on FB. I'm sure I'll break even, or come close.
I figure it's like a handbag?
I didn't "get" it, until I actually wore DS in one today. We walked to the grocery store, and it felt like he was in a cloud.
I'm only keeping one or two, and selling the other(s). I'm probably selling the African woven after making elephant pull cords in matching brown canvas.
Did you get the standard or toddler ? Ella's almost 25lbs so was thinking the toddler
Standard. My guy is a peanut and after trying the standard today, it was the right choice. He's 29" and 19lbs. 15th percentile and lean. I think his legs are short, too. I'm pretty sure his knees wouldn't bend in the toddler, which is important for their own stability in the carrier.

I'm officially going to start truly trying to score a new WC on Easter Sunday. We'll see how many tries it takes me. Easter Sunday will be on my phone so I'm sure I'll fail. Everything I really like on the swap is FTO or crazy priced over retail so I figure I need to get something so I can start trading! I should have just sent in a request for the Paxaby ISO angel, but DH was wavering on me spending the money (until I showed him the swap page!).
CloudBee! You went from 0 to one of the crazy Tula ladies in like a week!
I know.
But I wear him all the time! Carriers save me when I get home from work Mon-Thurs. I strap him on with my Boba 3g or Boba Air when we get out of the car, then I have my hands free to carry his bag, my purse, my briefcase, the mail, packages, and other random stuff. My hands are still free to open the baby gate, walked into the kitchen, and let the dog out. We all can go outside quickly/easily because he's still on my back. I then put him down for a while, and when he gets fussy I throw him into a ring sling on my hip, or Mei Tai on my back so he can watch me make dinner. He's super clingy after we get home those days.
And on weekends I wear him at least once a day.
Ha! So here I am, trying to justify myself.
I'm pretty sure I'll be selling my Boba Air K'tan once I get around to listing them online. The 3G will probably be close behind.

How old do you think kids get when they stop wanting to be worn. I last word DS in October when we flew (so 2). We won't fly again until he is almost 3, I can't imagine putting him in there at 3. I think I would just here "I want to walk!"
So if you had a toddler carrier, what age is your kid? At 2 DS could still fit in the Ergo (wasn't even close to growing out of it).
DS won't go in the carrier other than to leave someplace he's sad to leave - so like, the mall to the car. That's it. He's almost over riding in shopping carts. I think that around 3 is the end for most kids in most situations. I would much prefer a stroller for most outings that he'll require transport because it can also carry our kid crap (snacks, drinks, hat, coat, etc.).
Argh - I so want one and want it yesterday! I was about ready to order a canvas one, and found out my local cloth diaper shop just started carrying Tulas. I'd rather shop local so I can go try it on first just to make sure, but they don't have the toddlers in stock yet. Boo.
Jack is in the 98% for height and doesn't really fit well in my Boba anymore (at 11 months). I wear him on the subway, and to places I can't take the stroller (like Mets games). Since he can't walk unassisted yet, I'll be wearing him for awhile. Not sure I'll be strong enough to wear him at 3 though

I can wear my 2.5 year old with no issues and I am a total weakling.
I hadn't worn her in almost a year (May 2013) and now that I'm wearing her baby sister, she wants to be worn all the time. Which is why I'm getting a toddler. I can wear her in the standard fine. She just isn't knee to knee so I wouldn't want to do it for a longer period of time. I miss wearing her and this way we can now do short hikes on tougher trails and I can wear the baby and my husband can wear the toddler.
