My first half marathon is 3 weeks from tomorrow, with the remaining long run schedule of 12 tomorrow, 9, then 5, then race. Ever since my long run last weekend, which was a little painful and a lot mentally challenging, my right ankle has been sore. Every time I run, it gets more sore. I took W/H off and didn't run until Friday PM, when it hurt again. It's not a bad pain, it's just there, sore and tight, and my gait is adjusting to it. I've been resting, icing, and wrapping it all day today.
Should I run tomorrow? A shorter run? Try for 12 and see how it feels?
I'm really upset. I was doing so well, injury free

Ugg. I feel your pain. I am basically in the same kind of situation. My hip was sore so I took this week off. Now I am running a 20 mile race tomorrow and am hoping I'm not going to be crippled for Pittsburgh. My best advice (that I tell other people but don't follow myself) would be to take this weekend off and just move this week's long run to next weekend. I usually do around 10 mi the week before a half so you could always just do next week 12 and the week before the race as 9 (or 5--you'd still be fine). You've gotten some long runs in so far, so you know you can do it, but you just don't want to turn this ankle into something more if you can avoid it.

Ok, so the bolded part really worries me for you. Do you have a PT you can get in to see? It would be even better if you had access to a PT who specializes in running.
Rest it. Have an easier week then if still niggling, ibuprofen before the race.
Sorry, I have to chime in here. No ibuprofen before you race! It's terrible for your kidneys. Stick with Tylenol if you need pain relief while running.

It is? Yikes! Sorry! Had no idea. I take it to reduce swelling. I'm definitely not a medical professional, so I shouldn't have suggested it. Really sorry.
