I sometimes go to my bf support group just to weigh DS2. He has only gained 2 ounces in the last month. He's 7 mos and at his 6 mo appointment he weight 18 lbs 14 oz. and was in the 90%-tile (I think).
He did recently start to crawl and we started solids, but not at the expense of breastfeeding. He still nurses 9 -10 times a day.
Should I worry? Any suggestions? He won't take a bottle. I've been trying to get him to drink bm from a sippy cup as a supplement and because he has to start daycare at the end of August (so far he'll only take a few sips).

OK, thanks. DS1 was always a tank. He gained almost 3 lbs from 6 - 9 mos, but I don't see how DS2 will be able to match that. I know I shouldn't compare them, but it's hard no to.
I agree w/ the PP, plus it also sounds like you weighed him on 2 different scales. The only way to really know the weight gain w/ an infant is when you use the same scale w/ the same level of undress every time. If he is happy w/ plenty of wet/dry diapers then I'd just wait until his 9 month appointment.

He is happy. I used the same scale at the bf group over the last month (it meets every 2 weeks). He was naked for all weighings. But I'm going to stop worrying. He does not have a chance of tripling his birthweight by 1. He was 9lbs 4 ozs at birth and 18 lbs 14 oz at 6 mos. At 7 mos he's 19 lbs even.
I don't remember specifically how much she gained/didnt gain around that time period, but she def thinned out when she began to crawl/walk. She wasn't really on solids bc of her food intolerances, so at 7 months she was still EBF.
