I love New Rules of Lifting for Women. I'm currently working my way through it again. I know I've also see Strong Curves recommended here and I'm sure there will be other suggestions that I'm not even aware of.

When I asked about weight training recently katietornado mentioned the Texas Method. Through looking that up I also saw Starting Strength which looks like a pretty good intro program. I haven't done either (yet!), but they might be interesting to you if you're interested in heavier weights.

Another vote for New Rules of Lifting (for women or one of the others). I just finished up Stage 1 and I'm liking it a lot! Can't wait to start Stage 2

Starting Strength! Definitely Starting Strength. Texas Method is what you'll move onto after SS, if that's the route you choose. SS is for beginners or people just getting back into lifting. You will see weekly progress, which is great for motivation. I defer to the Fitness subreddit (or even better, xxfitness, which is fitness for women), and SS is always suggested for beginners.
I imagine you have access to a barbell and weights, yes?
Ditto New Rules of Lifting for Women. I can't wait to start the program again in about a month. Loved the ease of the program and the results I got relatively quickly.
