Shalane on 60 Minutes

Not sure if this has been posted or not, but I'm pretty pumped that women's distance running is getting attention on a national platform.

The article itself is a little confusing... but net-net= Shalane on 60-minutes for about 12 minutes tonight talking about her road to Boston. (if I understood it correctly!)

I just watched it and I loved it! She's kind of my idol...

What a great story! She looked beautiful in the interview.

I thought it was interesting they included her height and weight in the interview.

They also have a piece written about her in the May Runner's World edition.

I grew up a few towns over from her hometown so I've always read about her. She always seemed so down to earth in the articles. I always referred to her as that really fast girl from Marblehead and have only realized in the last year or so that she is a world top athlete and not just some fast girl that made the local paper every year.

There will be a lot of cheers for Shalane this year. I'm excited to see how she does.
