Whats going on around here?? How was everyones weekends?
We took the girls to see the Easter bunny yesterday and it went so much better than I thought. We also took M to get her very first haircut yesterday and she sat so still and did awesome. I was a very proud mom at that moment as we weren't sure how she was going to act. Saturday we were in port orchard at the park where they have the miniature trains you can take a ride around on. It was our second time going out there and it was still lots of fun. I had J in the ergo and she slept through the whole ride lol a little bit of motion knocks her out.
I am freaking exhausted. DS has been waking a ton overnight and my boobs hurt to nurse because of Thrush. I am dragging today. Short work week though because of family coming to town. So at least I have that going for me.
we had a birthday party on saturday at the little gym and i started to get a little concerned. bjl didn't want to play with the other kids...and the other kids were all really good at listening to directions (sit on the white line!). i know this partly has to do with her not in daycare..but at what point will she need to learn? the other kids were all her age plus or minus a few months...she was the only one who *refused* to participate (kicked and screamed when we tried to put her on the white line). some protested, but ultimately listened..
and then on sunday, my friend brought her 22mo over, and she was telling me all the letters of the alphabet and what sound they make. we haven't even begun teaching bjl the ABC's.. so here i am, doubly concerned... my only saving grace here is that she speaks two languages. almost every word she knows, she knows doubles for.
so it's been a stressful weekend for me.
the boy is still alllllmost crawling. bjl gave him a lego, and he faceplanted into it, resulting in a pretty little cut. i swear i didn't hit him #dontcallcps

jennlin I wouldn't be too concerned. It could be bjl was having an off day at the party. Bkb follows directions some days, but some days are a struggle.
I swear the only reason BKB learned her ABC's so young is because of Seasame Street and Super Why. I would just start working with her and she'll pick them up in a couple days. Bkb isn't great with the sounds they make, but she's working on them.
I mentioned on the other board, but bkb was cutting one of her two year molars last night. It was a nightmare. She was up every couple hours it was almost like having a newborn again, except this was a thrashing toddler that could knock me out and refused to be held. I woke up sick too. I feel terrible. I'm hidding in my office. H let bkb sleep in and took her to IL. She gets to go up and see the tulips. H said she woke up in a much better mood and excited to see the flowers. Hopefully last night was the worst of it.
Jennlin M is almost 3 1/2 and still doesn't always listen and instead throws fits. Sometimes its frustration maybe not understanding, she's tired or hungry or just straight up being a butt and doesn't want to.
