V slept through the night, but thought the night ended at 5am. Blerg. So he was the absolute first kid in at daycare today. On the plus side, it means I can leave work at 4. This is week two, so I'm starting to iron out the dropoff/pickup kinks. If you have daycare routine tips to share, put 'em here!
we let bjl experiment with dairy again recently, and that didn't turn out well..she's waking up pretty much every hour, screaming, crying, thrashing..... so a bonus from that was that i saw the blood moon eclipse last night and bonus 2, was after i was settled one of the times, i looked at the time and it was one minute before my alarm goes off, so it was an easy transition to get up......now that i think about it...crap. boy STTN last night, and i didn't nurse him before i left for work today...*that* must be why my boobs were so full this morning.
i have a team building event today at work, so we're leaving a little early and schmoozing on company money and time. it just throws a wrench in my pumping schedule.
Happy Tuesday! I check back by here too, every few days at least.
I'm trying really hard to not go crazy right now with my ILs visiting. They're good people and I get along well with them, but I'm a planner and they're about as far from that as can be. I had to ask DH about 10x over the course of the last month when they were going to arrive and how long they were going to stay. The answer changed at least 4x, then finally on Saturday I heard that they would be here Monday afternoon and leave Friday afternoon. I had to call DH twice on Monday to find out when they were going to arrive. Yes, I could call them myself, but they're his parents. I don't mind talking to them but I don't like calling them when he's not around. Since I didn't know the plan, I couldn't make a meal plan, so now everything feels all disorganized and all over the place this week.

THIS IS THE WORST. My ILs are like this, too. In fact, they changed the dates of their trip to visit us on a whim for reasons unknown to me. I don't understand why you would buy a plane ticket, then pay money to change it. That shit should be in stone BEFORE you purchase.
On the plus side, at least my husband made a reservation for dinner one night, so I at least I kind of know of at least one thing we're firm on. Other than that, weekend plans are totally up in the air. I'm scared.
Happy afternoon! Nothing much in this neck of the woods. J is still only sleeping half the night in her pack n play in our room before she ends up in bed with me. I can't wait until we get the drywall done in the spare room and get M moved over so J can start getting familiar with the crib.

I'm sorry you're going through this too. I *think* I've figured out dinner for tonight...but I basically volunteered MIL to cook for us. I'm pretty sure she'll be ok with it, though I would rather DH asks her and not me. If not pancit (basically the Filipino version of lo mein), then we're all having Panini sandwiches. As for Wed/Thurs/Fri...I have no idea, sigh.
Unfortunately it only gets worse this weekend since it will be us plus ILs crammed into BIL/SIL/nephew's small townhouse. And they mostly eat take-out which I'm not comfortable with due to G's peanut/tree nut allergy. SIL has also offered G jelly multiple times from their jar that's regularly double-dipped from the peanut butter knife and would likely land G in the ER. And when we visited 6 months ago, we found half a peanut on their living room floor. I'm not insisting on deep cleaning for us, but PLEASE pick up the things YOU KNOW could kill my child. Sorry, already building up the stress for this weekend...
shevacc I would be pissed about the non concern over allergies. When a student has one I am obsessive in my precautions. @legalbritt I hope they at least put on happy faces and are nice tonight. I hate family arguments.
We have our first class tonight and h scheduled a coaches meeting so he has to meet me there from work. I'm kinda grouchy he did that even though it really isn't a huge deal. I just don't want to drive he is so excited about this class and worried about having a new born though that it's hard to be mad at him.
@legalbritt, how did it go tonight? I hope you had fun and it wasn't too awkward with your H and C.
mrslefty, how was your first class? I think it's so cute your H has been looking forward to going. I had to drag mine but he thought it was useful once there.
I thought it was super boring but I spent my summer researching baby information so there's that. H thought it was very useful information and we both got a kick out of some of the other couples in attendance. One wife said their baby was a surprise and the husband was like...no I planned this. He was serious. He also asked how to get her nipples ready for bfing and how to get her cervix to soften. So he is going to provide entertainment.

WTF to the guy in that couple. So weird! I had a girl in my class ask if it was safe to allow her sugar monkey - yes, her MONKEY - near her baby. What?!?

Sil and Bil both bailed. Bil was planning to go bc he and I talked. So I guess SIL decided he wasn't allowed to. H of course is still fuming
Well maybe some time to stew and then get over it will be good. I hope

Ay ay ay! Sending good vibes that the weekend goes smoothly and no one tries to kill G. I seriously don't understand how people can be so careless with allergies, especially when they're THAT severe. (I also have a peanut allergy, though not anywhere as bad as G's, and my mom gave the green light to my aunt to make peanut butter cup cupcakes for my baby shower. Seriously, guys?)
