Not necessarily looking for advice, but definitely wanted to vent. I pulled out the shorts this week and almost nothing fits. I knew I'd put on a little weight, but since I sort of needed a few extra pounds wasn't too concerned. Obviously, though, it's more than a "few" (I do not step on the scale, that leads to issues for me).
No changes in eating habits. I work out regularly, doing something 6-7 days/week although I'll admit most ladies here probably work out much harder than I do. I'm not training for anything, though, just trying to maintain weight and cardiovascular health. And yet I'm packing on the pounds in the last 6 months or so. Not my thyroid...I'm already on meds for that (10+ years) and my levels are good.
On the upside, I get to go shopping. :-) Got me some new Athleta Bettona capris yesterday that I'm already loving.
Maybe you're getting more in shape so your body doesn't have to work as hard. For example, if you run 4 miles at the same pace everyday for a year, you'll burn less calories at the end of the year because you're more in shape and don't have to work as hard.

I would agree that you're probably just more efficient and burn fewer calories per work out now. I'd try switching up your work out routine a little and see what happens. I think maintaining weight can actually be pretty challenging.

Thanks, ladies. I definitely lack variety, especially since last December when I injured my shoulder and had to give up kickboxing, yoga and pretty much anything else that really used my upper body. I tried to compensate but it left me limited as I don't belong to a gym so it's me, my treadmill, some videos, and a few dumbbells here at home. I'm starting to get back into those things now, though, so hopefully they'll shake up my workouts!
