The Food board doesn't seem to have much activity, its mostly blog updates.
So I have really been into baking lately. I mean really into it. Cheesecake, cobbler, cookies, brownies, etc. I have always enjoyed baking but now it seems to be turning into a genuine passion. For those of you who bake regularly, or anybody who wants to chime in for that matter, do you have a preference when it comes to baking sheets? Do you like the flat kind with no edges or do you prefer the rimmed ones (alternatively called jelly roll pans, I think)? I have both. But they are old and getting kind of gross so I'm thinking about replacing them.
I like the flat ones (cookie sheets) for cookies, but love jelly roll pans for other stuff.
I really like the brand USA Pans. We got a small rimmed one at BB&B to try out, and plan to get some cookie sheets and jelly roll pans too. I've seen them pretty much everywhere online, but only at BB&B in person.

Another vote of both! I prefer the flat ones for cookies too, easier to slide them off. I have a USA Pans mini muffin pan, and it is silicone coated. It is way awesome. the others are all WS but the regular version. They didn't have gold when I registered. I did get a gold one for baking bread cause I needed a second pan and i really prefer it to the other.

I use the jelly roll type for everything. I've had the flat ones, but they always seemed awkward to hold. We have a really good non-stick set from Penneys, I think they are Cooks brand. My cookies never burn on the bottom!

I keep both around. I prefer these generic/crappy/nonstick ones from kmart for rimmed sheets: link
They're excellent - cheap, bake evenly, and are so cheap I don't feel bad if something has gone overboard onto them (or if R gets the bright idea to spray them with nonstick spray before baking something. :?)
