DB is getting baptized tomorrow at the Easter vigil. We are having a small family gathering before (4 pm). What should I serve? My main goal are simplicity and avoiding stains on the kids' clothes. I'll buy a green Swedish princes cake. I want to keep it very, very easy.
BTW: If you are considering all natural egg dyeing - tumeric works really well for yellow. Paprika is okay for a light red orange. Red wine (dark purple) and blueberries (grey blue) work, but not so well.
For J's christening, I made ahead salmon and quinoa salad (recipes below) served cold and homemade mac and cheese for the kids (reheated beforehand), and served with steamed green beans (the microwave in the bag kind) and a salad.
