There are a few things I can't do because of my shoulder, but I'm really liking the structure of the classes I've been attending and I'm feeling more flexible and feel like I'm actually getting in a great workout. And I sweat like a pig! It's been a good distracter from my injury.
Me too! I went religiously for a couple years before I moved back here and started school and I've just rediscovered it. I think it's going to be so good for my running.
Another yoga lover here! I'm amazed at how much I like it, actually. I was a swimmer when I was younger but then pretty much stopped all physical activity for the next 14 years for pretty much no good reason. Last August I got a groupon for one month at a yoga studio near my house, and became completely hooked.
It's amazing how good a workout it can be. Yoga is pretty much my only source of exercise (although I go about 5x a week) and my body has changed a ton, I don't think I've ever been this fit before. I guess it depends on what kind of yoga you do, but I love the combo of strength/core work with flexibility.
Now I'm feeling like maybe I can branch out with the nice weather and add running and biking into my life
